In this 2-session workshop, you’ll advance and sharpen skills learned in the Introduction to Silversmithing workshop utilizing torch and basic soldering techniques. Learn to navigate the jeweler’s saw to create metal shapes and solder onto them with layered embellishments adding sweat soldering to your skill set. In this 2-session introductory jewelry soldering workshop students will learn the basic equipment, safety, tools, and materials for soldering silver and copper metals You’ll explore ways to control the butane torch with confidence and be able to set up a simple soldering station at home regardless of your space limitations.
